The Internet Authors Network has been running since 2000 and it provides great information for authors about marketing their books. Authors, wherever you are published, you can list your book at the Internet Authors Network for free. This site has always taken an interest in Science Fiction Writers and Fantasy Writers but as you can see from the list below their category list has expanded and covers a variety of categories today. Promoting Your New Books

One job, I believe, that most Writers neglect, is their contribution online to the promotion of their books. A reluctant and somewhat dreaded occupation, when you'd rather be writing your next novel, it gets easier to do once you realise the benefits to both you and your publisher. More readers will soon be heading to the book store that sells your books online, and that's what we all want, isn't it? So where do Authors begin?

Like every industry, it's worthwhile listing your products in online Directories to try and get your sales up. Whether you run a hotel in Scotland, sell fresh farm eggs, or eco friendly products, there are Directories for your category of product or service. Another good tip, is to have some saved Press Release files that you can copy and paste or upload to Press Release Sites. Also, there are several online Advertisement sites where you can list your website or blog.

Now you may think that you don't have the time, and I know that many of us in the Writing fraternity often stay up later, or get up earlier, than perhaps many of our readers might, but there is really no excuse for not promoting your writing. Remember how you felt when you first saw your book in print? Felt good, didn't it? Selling more copies of it will make you feel good too. Luckily, self-discipline is one of the characters of most Writers, so set aside just a few hours each week to promote your work. Where do you start?
